We provide a small-group, family-like service in which children aged 1-3 are cared for and educated according to a daily routine that includes age-appropriate nutrition, rest, and outdoor activities. Our professionals ensure a healthy environment and a loving atmosphere that supports the children's development, offering personal attention, opportunities for free play and movement, helping them explore the world, acquire healthy lifestyle habits, and supporting their independence and social relationships.
Children explore nature hands-on through gardening, outdoor observation, and creative activities. Language learning is woven in through stories, songs, and puppetry.
The theme of our group is “I Planted My Little Garden,” based on a nature-centered and experience-based pedagogy that aims to help children discover the wonderful nature around us and their place in the world through experiences. The nursery's facilities support this: the garden, the nearby stream, the insect hotel, and the bird feeder all offer exciting opportunities for observation. The children love to try and experience everything, and I strive to help them do so in every possible way - through various techniques, sometimes using natural materials as well. Native language education is present daily through tales, rhymes, songs, and puppetry.
Children immerse in English through play, songs, and daily routines — while honoring their Hungarian roots in a warm, supportive environment.
In our bilingual group, children can discover the world - and the English language - in a safe and warm atmosphere. Throughout the day, we communicate exclusively in English with the children, allowing language use to become a completely natural part of their daily routine. Our pedagogical approach is experience- and relationship-centered, based on encouraging pedagogy. We believe that young children learn most effectively at their own pace, through games, songs, rhymes, and shared activities. The supportive and encouraging environment allows children to express themselves freely while becoming open to another language and culture. Although daily communication takes place in English, the Hungarian linguistic and cultural background is also important to us. We create an educational environment that respects the children's identity, mother tongue, and values brought from home. Our goal is for children attending our institution to develop joyfully and harmoniously - in a bilingual environment, enriched by many shared experiences.

We aim to create a loving, safe, and inspiring environment for the little ones, where children can naturally develop, explore the world, and unfold their unique personalities. Our goal is for children to form emotionally balanced, trusting, and joyful connections with their surroundings - whether that means people, languages, cultures, experiences, or the world around them. We pay special attention to consciously supporting early language development in a multilingual environment.
Thanks to the small, homely groups, children attending us are welcomed in a family-like atmosphere and environment. In our beautiful, well-equipped yard, we ensure proper physical development for the children.
In our institution, daily life takes place in both English and Hungarian. Early language learning positively affects memory, problem-solving skills, and overall brain function. Young children are capable of acquiring a language without an accent and can speak fluently even at an early age. If a young child encounters a foreign language at this age, they do not learn it—they acquire it. Language elements are connected to objects and activities, which results in much deeper retention. In cooperation with the Europe Youth Organization, we host foreign volunteers who help with English language education with great care and enthusiasm.
Upon request, we provide the opportunity for individual consultations regarding the child's development, any potential issues, or new ideas. Our goal is to establish a trusting relationship with the parents.
Thanks to the small 7-member groups and the family-like atmosphere, our educators can give special attention to the children and meet their specific needs.
At such an early stage of childhood, personal attachment and care are the most important for the healthy personality development of the child. We provide an intimate, calm, loving atmosphere where the child can feel safe, allowing their emotional and intellectual development as well as social skills to continuously grow and their personality to flourish.
In our nursery, we pay special attention to healthy and varied meals for the children. Lunch is ordered from a reliable provider who prepares meals from high-quality, fresh ingredients suitable for the children’s age. Morning and afternoon snacks are prepared daily on-site by our staff using fresh ingredients. We aim to offer varied, nutritious, and tasty dishes for the little ones, taking into account any food sensitivities or allergies. It is important to us that children become familiar with the basics of healthy nutrition from an early age, so we strive to avoid added sugar and preservatives, and regularly incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables into their diet.
Our goal is to start the artistic, particularly musical, education of children from the earliest age, making them sensitive and receptive to good music and the arts. Therefore, we surround them with live singing, nursery rhymes, playful jingles, and instrument play, and if they wish, they can also join in lap games.
The use of therapy dogs has a beneficial effect on the emotional development of participants. During therapy, children’s self-confidence can increase, their motor coordination improves, and their mood is enhanced. The presence of the dog in developmental sessions is a huge motivation for children; there is no task they would not willingly perform in the presence of their beloved animal. An unconditional bond develops between the children and the dog, which is very rarely experienced in their lives.
A playful craft activity where even the youngest can try themselves in the joy of creating—with lots of colors, shapes, materials, and imagination. The aim of the activity is not to produce a 'perfect' result, but to encourage joyful creation and support development at the child’s own pace.
An experience-based English language activity tailored for young children, where they encounter English in a playful and natural way. The sessions aim to introduce children to a new language and culture through positive experiences, while developing their vocabulary, language sense, and communication skills.
The “I Planted a Little Garden…” activity aims for children to get to know nature and plants through personal and sensory experiences, and to learn how we care for the living world of a small garden.

I dreamed of a place where my children could explore the world in a warm, homelike environment — where the small group is a safe space to make friends and learn what it means to cooperate as a team. A place where they can meet people from other cultures, expand their worldview, and get to know the English language in a natural and playful way. My dream came true, and in 15 years FunnyKids has far surpassed what I had ever imagined it would become. It always moves me when a family visits us because they’ve heard good things about us. My name is Izabella, and I am an English teacher. Since the beginning, I have devoted all my efforts to finding ways to make FunnyKids an even better place for the children, the colleagues, the families who join us, and our international team members.

“I am grateful for the love we receive from the children and for the time they spend with us. It brings me joy to witness and support their development.”
My most important role is to ensure the smoothness of the children’s daily routines and to support the work of the nursery educator. I approach the little ones with dedication, patience, and love, as I find it essential that their days in the nursery are filled with smiles and good spirits.

“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
Raising four children — a journey full of joy and challenges — along with many years of experience in my profession, has strengthened my belief in unconditional acceptance, a loving atmosphere, and the importance of the “I am safe” feeling. I believe every child is unique and unrepeatably valuable. By supporting families, I work each day to ensure that the children can experience all of this: to discover themselves, connect with others, and develop their personalities in safety while exploring the world.

I view my work as a vocation, and it fills me with joy that through the children’s trust I can experience just how unique and unrepeatable every little one is. It is important to me that the children can unfold in a calm, loving, family-like environment where they receive acceptance, attention, and encouragement. I strive to create an atmosphere they can feel is their second home, where play is not only fun, but also the most natural form of learning and development. The theme of my group is based on the natural acquisition of the English language. In our daily routine, we explore the language through songs, stories, rhymes, and games, making English an exciting new channel of communication for the children. I love seeing the spark of joy in their eyes when they encounter a new word, melody, or shared experience — these moments are what give true meaning to my work.

Continuous development is very important to me, and I try to pass this on to the children in our everyday moments. I aim to make their time in the nursery as comfortable as possible — both through the work I do behind the scenes and through the time spent directly with them. I believe that by applying the values I represent in my work, our everyday life becomes much more personal and family-like for both the children and myself. This is a special period in the children’s lives, as this is where they first encounter community life. It brings me joy to be part of this stage, when they look at the world with the greatest wonder and admiration.
